The rules
Verification and AML
Nothing moves until we confirm your identity, your age and the source of your funds. These checks keep minors out, block dirty money at the door and keep your account sealed tight.
Why do you need to verify me?
Because a casino is a cash business, and cash attracts trouble.
Registration is possible only where your local law permits it, and Canadian rules on age limits, identity checks and anti-money laundering guide everything we do. Those rules require us to know our customers. Verification also stops identity theft, blocks stolen cards instantly and keeps anyone under 19 away from real money play.
Getting verified works in your favour as well. Verified players get paid quickly: the majority of payouts land within 1 to 4 hours, and bank wire can take up to 12 hours.
What do you ask about where my money comes from?
For most players, a few questions at sign-up are enough. When deposits grow, or activity changes sharply, we look deeper at your source of funds: the money you are using to play.
Depending on the situation, we may request:
- Recent payslips or a letter from your employer.
- Bank statements showing regular income.
- Paperwork for a one-off sum, such as an inheritance, a property sale or an investment payout.
- Tax documents for self-employed players.
These requests are routine. They are not an accusation. Answering promptly keeps your account running without interruption.
Which documents prove my identity and age?
We confirm your age and identity ahead of your first deposit, relying on electronic checks where we can. If those fall short, we request documents. Common examples:
- Photo identification: a valid government-issued passport or driver's licence, clearly showing your face, full name and birth date.
- Address: a current utility bill or bank statement listing your name and residential address.
- Payment ownership: for Mastercard or American Express, a photo of the card front, middle digits masked. For Payz (ecoPayz), a screenshot of your account page. For Interac e-Transfer or Bank Wire / Transfer, a bank statement showing your account details and name.
- A selfie: sometimes, a clear photo of you holding your ID, so we know the document is in the right hands.
Each payment method linked to your account has to be yours. Deposits from, or withdrawals to, accounts held by someone else are not accepted.
Alongside identity, we check where you are connecting from before any deposit is accepted.
Do checks stop once I am verified?
No. Verification is a starting line, not a finish line.
Our systems watch account activity on an ongoing basis. We look for patterns such as:
- Big or fast deposits that don't fit your normal play.
- Money deposited and then withdrawn with very little play in between.
- Several accounts linked to the same person, device or payment method.
- Logins from unexpected locations.
If something stands out, we may refresh your documents or ask fresh questions about your funds. We may also look again at your details when your documents expire or your circumstances change.
What happens when verification falls short?
We keep it simple and fair, but firm.
Withdrawals are paused until checks are complete. If documents are missing, unclear or don't match your account, we'll tell you what we need and give you the chance to send it.
If we still can't confirm who you are, how old you are, where you're playing or where your money comes from, we can limit your account, block new deposits or close it. If fraud, money laundering or underage play is suspected, we may cancel affected bets, hold back winnings and report the case to the appropriate Canadian authorities. Our Terms & Conditions set out these steps in full.
Do you check whether I hold public office or appear on a sanctions list?
Yes. Every account gets screened against sanctions lists and politically exposed persons (PEPs) lists: people who hold, or once held, a senior public role.
Screening also reaches people close to them, such as relatives and business associates. PEP status does not stop you from playing. It means we look more closely at your funds and activity.
Anyone named on a sanctions list cannot open or hold an account with us. We screen at registration and repeat the screening whenever lists are updated.
What records do you keep and who do you report to?
We keep records of your identity documents, verification results, transactions and our checks for the period Canadian law requires. They are stored securely and handled under our Privacy Notice.
Canadian law requires us to report certain transactions to the appropriate authorities, plus any activity we suspect is linked to money laundering or the financing of terrorism. That same law bars us from telling players if they are the subject of a report. We will not confirm it. We will not deny it.
How do I send documents or ask a question?
Email your documents or questions to help@grandeprairiecasino.app. Please send clear, uncropped colour images with all four corners visible. Blurry or edited files slow things down.
You can also write to help@grandeprairiecasino.app. We will confirm when your documents arrive and let you know as soon as checks are complete.
