The rules
Privacy Notice
This notice sets out what personal information Grande Prairie Casino holds, why we hold it and who sees it. You stay in control: you can ask to see it, fix it, delete it or tell us to stop using it.
What data do you gather?
Only what a safe, legal casino needs:
- Identity details: your legal name in full, your birth date, your residential address and your email address.
- Verification documents: the ID and supporting papers you upload for age and identity checks.
- Payment records: your chosen method, plus the amounts, dates and status of each deposit and withdrawal.
- Play records: bets, wins, sessions and any limits or breaks you set.
- Technical data: your IP address, the location signals behind our geolocation checks and info on your device and browser.
- Messages: emails between you and our team.
How long is it stored?
We hold your information for the full life of your account. After it closes, records stay on file for as long as Canadian anti money laundering, tax and accounting rules require.
If you self-exclude, we keep the details needed to honour that exclusion. Once a record has no remaining purpose, we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you.
Why do you use it?
- To open your account and maintain it.
- To handle the money you pay in and cash out.
- To confirm your age, identity and playing location before we take any deposit.
- To meet anti money laundering duties.
- To run deposit, wager and stake limits, plus reality checks, breaks and self-exclusion.
- To reply to your messages and resolve complaints.
- To spot fraud and keep the site secure.
- To send offers, but only if you said yes.
- To find and fix problems on the site.
On what grounds do you use it?
Canadian privacy law asks for a good reason. Ours are:
- Our agreement with you: we cannot run your account or pay you without it.
- Legal duties: Canadian requirements for age limits, ID checks and anti-money laundering.
- Consent: covers marketing, plus any cookies beyond the strictly necessary.
- Reasonable business purposes: security and fraud prevention, kept to what a player would expect.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it whenever you choose.
Will this notice change?
When our practices change, the updated version goes up right here, dated with when it takes effect. Big changes also hit your inbox by email.
What control do I have over my information?
Four switches, all yours. You may request that we:
- Provide access to a copy of your data that we keep.
- Correct any info that's inaccurate or outdated.
- Delete data we have no further need for.
- Stop using it for any purpose you object to, marketing included.
Send your request to help@grandeprairiecasino.app. We verify your identity first so nobody else can reach your data. Some records must stay for the period the law sets, and we'll let you know if that applies.
How can I control marketing?
Promos are opt in only. No yes, no offers.
Had enough? Click unsubscribe in any promo email, turn marketing off in your account settings or send us an email. Taking a break or self-excluded? Marketing stops completely.
Who sees your data?
Your information is never sold. We share it only when needed:
- Payment processors that carry your payments in and out.
- Verification and geolocation services: they verify your age and identity and locate the device you play on.
- Service providers for hosting, email, security and game delivery.
- Authorities where Canadian law requires it.
Each one may use your information only for the job we gave it.
Cookies: do you use them?
Yes. Our Cookie Notice explains each type, what it does and how to switch the optional ones off.
Does my information leave Canada?
Yes. Some providers that help run the casino store or process data outside the country. Under our contracts, they must guard it to a standard close to ours.
Information held abroad may be reachable by courts and authorities in that country under their own laws.
What about anyone under 19?
Grande Prairie Casino is strictly 19+. Age gets confirmed before any deposit clears. Find out someone under 19 is running an account? We close it and erase their data, except for records we are legally obliged to retain. The full rules sit in our Underage Gambling Policy.
How is it protected?
Traffic between your browser and our site is encrypted. Access is limited to staff who need the information for their job, and we watch our systems for misuse.
You play a part too: choose a tough password, never share it and log out on shared devices.
Who do I contact about privacy?
Email help@grandeprairiecasino.app with privacy or account questions. We answer by email only.
